Support structure that is well designed and engineered efficiently in terms of timber section size and geometric shape brings an aesthetic quality to many applications.

Wooden trestles are stand-alone support structure that can be used for supporting display items and other functional uses. Trestles of traditional French design which incorporates the St. Andrews cross for bracing are seen here supporting an oak plank used as a bench. Trestles of various design can be used to support interior fitments and thus allow the fitments to be changed when necessary.

For the design and making of support structure, Mark uses descriptive geometry, accurately representing each structure either full size or to scale to allow the setting out of combinations of geometric shapes using wood, no matter how complex.
